Application FAQs

My PDF file is huge. How can I make it smaller?

Try resizing your images individually to be well under 1MB each, then pull them into your document. 300dpi and 1500px per long dimension should yield good results. For the sake of quick uploading, please try to make your document as small as possible.

Can my application fee be waived?

No. Submission fees contribute to exhibition expenses and keep individual costs low.  We appreciate your support!  However, if you are an Artist Member of Gallery 263, all fees to our opportunities are free.  We encourage you to find out more about Membership.

Can the $275 per person/$1100 per group studio fee be waived?

No. The studio fee covers a percentage of expenses accrued during the Residency period.  We encourage artists to fundraise to help offset the cost of the studio fee. Staff is available for consultation on fundraising ideas and planning.

Are there any other fees besides the application fee and studio fee?

Additional expenses beyond the $30 application fee and $275 per person/$1100 per group studio fee are minimal and optional. Gallery 263 will advise on promotional materials (such as postcards) and wall signage (vinyl) for your final exhibition.
