Join us for an afternoon of mindful play! We will imagine, sing, and move together; all while learning mindfulness skills that can bring families closer and create a shared tool kit to cope with life’s ups and downs.
This 90 minute workshop will involve a mix of: mindfulness exercises, yoga postures, games, musical play, and a creative art project to take home. This is a family bonding activity that will leave your body refreshed and your mind energized.
Open to families with children from Pre-k to grade 5. We have yoga mats. Dress in comfortable clothes.

Gabriel Baldwin has over 16 years experience practicing mindfulness. He has taught mindfulness to over 3,100 youth and hundreds of educators in the Cambridge Public Schools, Brookline Public Schools, Newton Public Schools, and various after school programs and camps in Greater Boston. He has been leading mindfulness retreat programs for teens since 2008 with Insight Meditation Society (IMS) and Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme). Gabriel has trained with Mindful Schools, Mindfulness in Schools Project, Calmer Choice, Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme), and the Hakomi Institute. He attends regular silent retreats and weekly sits at local meditation centers. He can also be seen in parks around Boston doing Primal Practice, a playful embodied movement practice that draws from multiple yoga, martial, meditation, and movement disciplines. Jennifer Maddox, RYT-200, RCYT uses her knowledge of family-based positive psychology and yoga techniques in her practice of guiding students to connect, transform, and nurture themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. Jennifer works with children, adults, and families and teaches from a perspective of holistic wellness. She uses yoga and mindfulness as a way to empower students and strengthen their minds and bodies, and spirits.; thus helping them to create personal victory over cycles of generational pain and trauma. She teaches private and group classes as a member of The Yoga Alliance; and specializes in a slow and mindful Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, and Children’s/Family Yoga. She offers her students the benefits of essential oils as a way to complement the physical practice of yoga by enhancing its emotional and energetic benefits.
