Leng Bian is a queer, multiracial Chinese-American harpist, songwriter and composer from San Francisco, California. Her original work is primarily indie folk with inspiration from other styles she has studied including pop, jazz, celtic and classical music. She began writing and performing her songs at the age of 19 and now performs at an array of venues around New England and the Bay Area. In addition to writing and performing music, Leng Bian has a lot of experience of using music in holistic settings such as hospices, retirement homes and restorative health yoga classes.

VQnC is an artist, writer, and singer whose love of performing stems from her southern roots and musical family. From making up songs in the sandbox at school, to singing in Irish pubs with her father, she’s always been a natural performer and has used music as a tool to bring people together. VQnC thrives in the inevitable duality of experience and tries to feel that in her music: the shadow of sadness that silhouettes joy, the pleasure of realizing the pain has passed. Each emotion and insight is given meaning by its contradictory counterpart which, in singing, is ever a breath away. For VQnC, performing is more than singing; it’s living in the song and breathing life into the music. VQnC has a presence, a soulfulness that draws influence from female singers, like Sade, Debbie Harry, and Stevie Nicks, whose signature sounds embrace imperfection and vulnerability, sensuality and emotional realism.

The Blue was created by India Shore and Claire Altendahl after meeting their freshman year at Berklee College of Music. Growing up in Brooklyn NY, India spent her days dreaming of being the next Judy Garland, while Claire, fueled by the troubles of being gay in the Midwest, strove to play every dive bar in Minnesota. The two joined forces to tell honest stories about sexuality, heartbreak, and yearning- all backed by India’s powerful vocals and Claire’s melodic riffs. Taking inspiration from artists like Norah Jones, Patsy Cline, and The Cure, The Blue strives to create music that transcends a single genre, combining blues, country, pop, and soul all in one. The Blue is supported by Aleksi Godard on drums, Sylvie Chiang on backup vocals, and Emma Stacher on bass.
