Gallery 263 is pleased to invite Massachusetts-based visual artists working in drawing, painting, collage, photography, fiber, and other two-dimensional media to apply to the Gallery 263 Small Works Project. The aim of this project is to present original, quality artworks in our flat file drawers in the gallery and on our website. Artists will be selected by the staff and board of Gallery 263 based on the quality of their work and commitment to their practice.
With the guidance of Gallery 263 staff, visitors will be able to carefully browse and handle works from the flat files. Participating artists will be able to display works in their flat file drawer for twelve months, with the ability to add or remove work as they like during this time. Works will be stacked in each drawer, and all work must be available for purchase. We encourage artists to replace sold pieces with new work. There will be a printed inventory list and resume in each artist drawer. The drawers, which are located at the back of the gallery, are open for viewing during gallery hours or by appointment. We invite artists of all career levels to submit.
