Please join us for the reception of Meat Stacks, a Curatorial Proposal Series exhibition featuring the photographs of local artist, Leah Netsky. Meat Stacks plays on the sterile, artificial appearance of packaged meats and cheeses in the United States. Leah presents hundreds of meticulously arranged digital images of lunch meats that have been stacked, folded, stapled, sewn and put through other processes symbolizing order and mass production. Aside from bringing to light the processed nature of these food products, Leah’s photographs encourage us to expand our notion of objects as limited to their function in society.
Meat Stacks will be on view from October 8 – November 7, 2015 for regular gallery hours.
