Please join us for Moldmaking and Casting, an Artist Residency 2015 Outreach Workshop, led by one of our artist residents, Suzanne Mahoney!
When: Saturday June 27, 12 – 3
Who: Led by painter, sculptor, and Gallery 263 Artist in Resident, Suzanne Mahoney. Geared for all ages – bring your family! Young people under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Where: Join us at Gallery 263, 263 Pearl Street.
What: Choose from a selection of objects provided by the artist to create your own mold, or cast your hand in Alginate (a non-toxic body molding material). Then, we’ll cast soap into our molds, allow it time to harden, and return to take home our own unique hand soaps.
Why: To learn a new craft! All of the materials we will use are non-toxic, cure quickly, and are easy and safe to work with at-home.
